ABOUT ME

My current location is Oregon, and soon to change. I have a home for sale back in Texas and returning there to finalize the sale & let go of my possessions to return to So America.
The are few absolutes in my life and many, many possibilities.
In the last few years I traveled to Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Guatemala
In the US: Arizona, California, New Mexico, Colorado, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Texas, Arkansas, Illinois Indiana and Kentucky.
Most days I'm inspired by the kindness and generosity of people everywhere I go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A FEW THINGS: Witnessed the birth of both my son and -eight years later- the birth of my daughter.

Fell into bliss for several days after a Vision Quest ceremony in Big Bend National Park, West Texas; and several years later had another bliss experience while walking across Texas.

Saw a live Jaguar with my son in Manu National Park, Southern Peru. All the hair on my body stood up!

Saw three people in Peru riding one bicycle, then four people on one motorcycle! Another one was a girl on a motor scooter carrying a birthday cake! I hope she and the cake made it to the destination. It made me smile 😊!

Teach, Learn, Share

I BELIVE THAT IT'S POSSIBLE TO REACH OUT AND LOVE EACH OTHER MORE. MAYBE WE CAN'T CHANGE THE WHOLE WORLD AT ONCE; BUT, WE CAN REACH OUT TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE, ONE PERSON / FAMILY AT A TIME... THE SAME APPLIES TO MOTHER EARTH, WE COULD LEARN TO WALK GENTLY AND RESPECT THE PLANET AND TEACH OTHERS TO DO THE SAME.
I LIKE TO LEARN & TEACH... OTHER LANGUAGES, CULTURES, AND HISTORIES. RIGHT NOW I'M WORKING ON MY SPANISH, MY WRITING AND MY ABILITY TO BE FULLY PRESENT AND BE A GOOD LISTENER.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a plethora of varied interest and experiences. I'm a retired Travel Agent, still an enthusiast in listening to others' travel plans, sharing experiences and opinions when prompted to do so. I have skills that I have shared and am happy to lend a hand when I'm able. As mentioned by my guests, Crosby, i was able to replace a radiator on his Toyota truck -very quickly- to help a traveling musician stay on his schedule. It saved him a good chunk of money and time and gave me great satisfaction. I think i was as thrilled as he was with the outcome. I also replaced a ceiling fan (which i have done dozens of times) for one of my host. Again, it saved $ and time and i was delighted to help. I AM NOT YET VERIFIED and, AS THE FEE HAS GONE FROM $25 TO$60, I am not planning to become "verified" before trying other alternatives to Couchsurfing.
