My name is David, currently living in Hamburg and working as a media designer there. I am doing this half-time so I can make a living, but way more important to me is being able to follow personal projects in film making and photography.
Since I am into that field, I've met incredibly beautiful people and got to think about life in a totally different way.
I'd describe myself as a calm, friendly and receptive guy, open-minded for the yet unknown and curious about how things work in other places than my home.
Despite I am a vegetarian, I am doing really bad in the kitchen... but I am always open for learning. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the way of thinking of Couchsurfing. I've already hosted a few travelers at my place and only made good experiences with it.
It's so cool to meet people from so many different places in the world and also have some deeper talks with them.
What I don't want is being stuck here where I live, not moving outside my "microcosm".
And to be honest, of course there is also the financial aspect, which makes it difficult for people I've hosted and myself to explore the world. :-)
I love the idea of meeting people who think the same way of traveling, and in my opinion Couchsurfing offers a perfect platform for that.
