ABOUT ME

I know it is a style error to start writing something saying: it's hard to do it. But it really is. People are not something you can describe in few words and, maybe, they are neither something you can describe with a lot of words. Everybody take with himself a unique, original story.

I am not the "cool guy". Cool guys are tiring, in their attempt to show themeselves as socially desired people the finish to look all the same. I am more than the travel I did or the parties I attended, even if they can be a good talking subject.

I am a writer, and I like to invent stories and to collect emotions. That's what I do with short novels and poems, and that's what I try to do in my everyday life. I don't always succeed and so I often feel the need for changing everything, changing place, travelling, meeting new people. I act as a enthusiasthic person, I am sometimes. But life is also made of fear, and sadness and rage, and I try to live the whole range of my emotion as the best. It's a hard job and it needs of courage, good friends and art.

I love art.
Theatre is one of the best thing I have ever done in my life, probably the most useful to learn how to leave. Staying on a stage means to do your part at your best, take care of the people that sorround you, pay attention at your body.
Music is part of every second of my life. I don't have a mp3, but there's always some song buzzing in my head.
Dance is having joy.
Cooking is my way to take care of myself and other people with a good taste.

I love to love. To love women, usually the wrong ones, but also to love everything's have some hidden beauty. Yes, I am a too much romantic person who lives upon dreams and fantasy. I don't always show this fragile side of my personality, but if I do, you can be sure I will be your good friend.

I need to be in the world. I like sweat and fatigue. I like to work, as much I learn something. I am not a motorbike guy, I am a bycicle one, who likes slowness, as the slower you are the most you can see and feel. If I had tons of time and money, I wuld use them to do my travels never taking an airplane. I like sports, I play foot as right wingback, running over and over across the field. But my sport is fencing. To duel with a new contrary is like to deeply meet a new person, but whitout needing words. I can't bare bodybuilding.

Sometime I have strange ideas for my future, as doing space studies and becoming psychologist for astronauts. For now I am working in Galway enjoy my role in the Research department of an evil multinational company :P

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A turkish friend told me about CS during my Erasmus and I couldn't stop me from visiting the website. Now I am here, I hosted some people and I were happy about them. I was hosted a couple of time and I felt happy as well. I met travellers, and some of them became friends. I wait for new experiences.

兴趣

People. No human is an island, and I'm not an exception. Knowing other people (expecially people who are outside the schemata) is probably the most exciting thing in the world. That's probabely why I decided to study psychology. I'm intrested in science and art as well and I try to be everyday a bit more open-minded.

lately I am having a growining interest for yoga and meditation. Oh, and nerdy data science too. Sounds weird, but I love stats!

ooooh, so many! Ok, I will choose 5 songs, 5 movies and 5 books, just to give you an idea.

Music: Boehemian rapsody (The Queen), The great gig in the sky (Pink Floyd), Eleanor Rigby (The Beatles), Impressioni di settembre (Premiata Forneria Marconi), Redemption song (Bob Marley)... But I don't listen just to rock music...Blues, jazz, classica, good-quality pop and dance, ethnic... I just love music! :)

Movies: Ikiru (akira Kurosawa), 12 angry men (Sydney Lumet), Across the Universe (Julie Taymor), And Now For Something Completely Different (Monty Python), The Dreamers (Bernardo Bertolucci).

Books: Confessions of Zeno (Italo Svevo), If on a winter's night a traveler (Italo Calvino), Timbuctu (Paul Auster), The Corrections (Jonathan Franzen), A Song of Ice and Fire (Grorge R.R. Martin)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Probably the salted lake where I shooted my profile picture was the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life. Or maybe it was the frescoes of Giotto in Cappella degli Scrovegni. Or just the eyes of the person I once loved. Dunno, I think there are so many good things to see and to do in everyday life, the hard part is to understand them :)

I do the theatre of the oppressed, following the methods of Augusto Boal. I'd really like to take this experience in the places that I visit. It's a special theatre method that involves normal people and focuses on the problems of the community.

I can teach Italian, of course! I love cooking and I can teach how to get a perfect Italian Pasta!;D
