ABOUT ME

Hello,
I'm 33 years old guy who lives in Milan since 2006 because of my work...I'm a rare kind of scientist...I'm a geologist..

I'm not an authentic "milanese", because I originally I come from Ventimiglia, a small town at the border with Franc..anyway over the last 8 years I have had the time and the possibility to better know and to discover this city. I'm quite confident in saying that Milan is a nice city and has a lot of hidden beauties!

I love travelling and I love meeting new people...that's why I'm here. Couchsurfing it's an amazing way to travel and to meet people from every part of the globe...

PHILOSOPHY

I do not really have a "phylosophy", but, even if I'm not buddhist, I love what Dalai Lama said about human being:"He sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or in the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived."So, what I try to do is living this life consciuos that I will die, but I would like to die thinking that I really lived it..or at least that I tried to...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live by myself in my small 2 rooms flat and I have large sofa-bed in the living room ! Unfortunately, as I work, I cannot host people every day but during weekends or when I'm on vacation...anyway for sure I'm available for a glass of wine or a cup of coffee to tell you something more about Milan!

I'm interested in travelling as well, so, if we keep in touch, I will be happy to be hosted or to have just a drink with you!
Visiting countries with autochthonous people is the best way of travelling..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new on the couchsurfing website! Never hosted couchersurfers...but I can tell you I have hosted many people in all the flats I lived! Of course I have hosted friends, but also friends of friends and friends of friends of friends....so I think I am used to have people at home and believe it will not be so strange hosting some couchsurfers here!I have been hosted by many people who I've never met before, basically friends of friends...so we can say that I practised couchsurfing during my trips without knowing that a couchsurfing website existed..it has been always an amazing experience!

Interests

As I'm a geologist, I love nature and I love hiking on the mountains and I love going to beach and swimming in the ocean (of course in summer...). I am interested in any kind of culture, from literature to photography, from politics to cuisine. I like reading, I like history and I love having long walks in the cities looking at old buildings and monuments, reading or listening legends or stories about them..As many Italians (it's a cliché, but it's true) I love football...I love both watching and playing it...I do not go so often to stadium, but I like it! Anyway I like many sport, as tennis, basket, athletics...but I hate watching cyclind and golf...so boring! I love music and I appreciate any kind of genre, but it should be the product of an artist...in few words If you think I will put Shakira or Ramazzotti on my hi-fi you're totally wrong!! I love playing guitar as well (even if I'm not a good guitarist)..but if you play, you're welcome...I have two guitars in my flat, ready for an homemade jam session! I love going out and dancing...but good music..not commercial...and finally I love cooking italian food!

Well, as I I'm quite good in cooking..I think I can teach some delicious italian dishes!
