About Me

Hi, I'm Davide!

I am a ceramic artist, craft practitioner, designer and researcher based in Copenhagen.

In the years I enjoyed travelling and meet new people from other cultures and countries of the world. Now I am focusing on my practice here in Copenhagen and usually travelling 1-3 months a year.
I'm a highly typical/regular (no, just kidding) Italian guy, local from Tarcento. I like to cook, so if you come to my house you will enjoy nice risotto or pasta and good conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about couchsurfing in 2015, and I wanted to try.
Now I've hosted many people and I’ve been hosted many times. It was always a really amazing experience so I hope others will come!
It is a really wonderful and easy way to meet strangers and get new friends from all around the world!

Interests

Ceramics, Design, Fine Art, Performance, Photography, Dance, Music.

Check out my website for more info on my practice:

I love to go hiking in the mountains, even though, unfortunately there is none here in Denmark :( but I try to hike in every place I travel. I am not happy if I don’t do a peak.

I like to swim, run, dance, exercise and sauna.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste spaces from many genres, from electronic to instrumental, jazz to techno and more experimental, along with alternative, rock, indie, downtempo and new wave.

I read mainly non-fiction but lately started to enjoy novels and more semi-fictional writings. I try to read a book a month. I have been co-writing a book during my postgraduate focusing on craft artistic research and, more specifically in my text, on sustainable artistic methodologies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hitchhiked through Austria, Germany and Spain only sleeping in tents or Couchsurfing. I slept in a lot of different apartments, boats and houses and met so many wonderful people!

Spontaneous is the best! ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Italian language and how to cook some nice Italian recipes. I also teach ceramics professionally (yes, like in the ghost movies) and being a professional artist I can work in many materials and techniques. I have my own studio with tools, machines and ceramic oven since many years.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Copenhagen lifestyle, artist environment, ceramic studio and much more!
A city tour or a night experience and for sure "Una bella cena all'Italiana!"

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, Vatican City State
