About Me
ABOUT ME
Well, my best friends would say that I'm intelligent and very funny. i consider myself a very outgoing person, that likes to know new cultures and is interested in the history behind every place I travel to.
By now I'm living in Bogota, working as a researcher and as a University professor, and trying to figure out my PhD thesis at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. My research is about quality of Education in Colombia, and my PhD about Economic History over trade in Latin America.
I was fortunate enough to acquire in the last round (April) a couple of football matches tickets for the FIFA World Cup in Russia. I'm so excited to go, but it has been really hard to find accommodation this late.
I'm completely convinced that knowing people from other countries is the best way to expand your mind, give less importance to trivial things, and understand the virtues of the human race and its diversity. You're open to the world and the world opens to you. I'm full of very good and funny stories of my life and I'm more than keen on sharing them with people I know and start to care about
PHILOSOPHY
Well, I've always thought that you have to live every single moment of your life as it was the last, the problem is that people have told me that I'm taking that philosophy to a certain extreme :P.
My motto is "One day at a time. Be present"

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far three very nice experiences as a surfer, looking forward to getting more of them :) I haven't been able to act as a host yet :S but I'm working on it and will try to offer something soon.
Interests
I'm currently doing a Master at London School of Economics and want to make the most of my (first) time in Europe and travel around as much as I can, but I'm definitely limited by a constrained budget. I read a lot of literature and I'm constantly updated about the news from all over the world. I particularly like political and economic discussions about the state of the world, although I also can speak about sports and know the gossips of the jet set if you ask me :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Big Fish is my favorite movie, and every movie that talks about father and son relationship, because I love my dad
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first one was the sight of the glaciers in Argentina 10 years ago: that's the most beautiful landscape I have ever seen. I also walked on top of one of them and it felt like you were in a completely different planet...although all the photos were stolen from me three days after :(
The second happened on 2012, when I went with some friends to the catacombes of Paris by a hidden entry. Being there in such a historical place (the french resistance against the nazis took place there and Victor Hugo used to wander around the catacombes when he was writing Les Miserables) and also so scary at the same time was a life-worth experience.
The third one was in Salar del Uyuni in Bolivia. If you get luckyenough to be there when the lake is flooded, you get an absolutely gorgeous view of the sky melting up with the earth over the horizon. A must-see!
