CURRENT MISSION

To get to know other expressions of humanity in my brothers and sisters around the world!

ABOUT ME

I love life and everything it has to offer! I strive to constantly find myself on new adventures with different people in different cultures.

I was born in Mexico City, grew up in Buenos Aires and then San Francisco..... and have been on the move ever since. I have been very lucky to have lived in several cities in Mexico, Argentina (spent part of my childhood and adolescence there), Brazil, Spain, and the U.S. and have traveled to some amazing places in 100+ Countries ....... and not a moment has been wasted; from Tokyo to Delhi, from Rihad to Prague, from Cairo to Havana, there are always new friends to meet, tastes to sample, air to breath, lessons to learn, sights to behold and memories to capture forever.

Though traveling and living in so many cities have done a lot for my life, having gotten an education in the San Francisco Bay area has had the greatest influence on me.
The time spent there forced me to share experiences with people from different ethnic, cultural, ideological, sexual, and religious backgrounds. This interaction deeply influenced my thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and feelings toward people with different perspectives. I'm not bound to a fixed point of view, but rather, open to dialogue and new ideas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Though I'm fortunate to have an expansive social life, I always try to be an active member of Couchsurfing. I’ve couch-surfed several dozen times and hosted tons of people (over 50)! Helped organize and take part in Couchsurfing meetups in South America, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the U.S. I partied and helped prepare meals at Couchsurfing camp at Burning Man 2012 and 2013 and '14. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love couchsurfing and my experience has been nothing but truly remarkable. I love the emphasis on the real-world aspect of this social network rather than the online relationship that normally goes on in all other networks. The value and depth of relationships that can be built and maintained from Couchsurfing are truly remarkable.

Music, Movies, and Books

People have always laughed and been baffled at my music arrangements and self-made CD's. I would not make a good DJ. The main styles I listen to, however, are Rock (Argentinian, en Espanol), rock alternative, Jazz, Salsa, Banda, Cumbia Villera, classical music, Pop. I am recently very fond of dancing groove, soul, and funk :).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Definitely one of the most amazing experiences in my life has been to see my team Boca Juniors play in La Bombonera and to witness and participate in "La 12" (the fan base of my team). I travel often to Argentina to see them. If you don't like football, please let me know, I'd love to share some thoughts. I won't try to convice yo to like it.... I'll just share my perspective on it. As an advance I can tell you that my passion is the social part of it (the folklore, the fiesta, the people, not football itself). I am also a fervent Maradoniano.

MEXICO -- Mi Casa :)

I've lived in Mexico City, Puebla, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Querétaro and Monterrey. When I say "lived" I mean it; at least 6 months in each of these cities and up to several years.
I have traveled extensively within Mexico visiting all States and several dozen cities throughout. I've done the Mayan route twice :)

Teach, Learn, Share

In one of my old forgotten blogs, I responded to my favorite poem "a morte devagar". A poem that truly had a direct impact on my life: http://beaner-beans.blogspot.com/2010/05/my-response-to-morte-devagar-slow-death.html
