About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See south India and meet other nice people

PHILOSOPHY

In almost every situation, people can help make each other's lives better, and that is a beautiful thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Though I have WWOOFed before, I have yet to couchsurf properly. I tend to wander when I travel, going wherever someone I strike up a conversation with tells me. It usually works out well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveling around south Mexico was a great experience that was similar in a lot of ways to couchsurfing.

Interests

Trees! I am fascinated by trees and all they do. I love being among them. Also, biology in general, philosophizing, reading ficion, reading non-fiction, learning new languages, soccer (football outside North America), canoeing on lakes and rivers in Canada, all types of skiing, running like a fool, warm weather, snowy weather, rock climbing, cooking, eating, yoga, napping, trains, using design thinking to solve problems, and talking politics but only every once in a while.

Music, Movies, and Books

There's a lot of good and a lot of bad movies, music, and books. I try to find the good ones, but I'm a bit of a sucker for cheesy comedy movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life on earth.

Teach, Learn, Share

Share your ideas. Most grand ideas you have will stay in your head and either fizzle out there or someone else will come up with the same idea on their own and do it without you. Share your idea and realize that other people can really help you turn vision into reality.

Don't feel entitled to anything. A university education does not mean you will get a job nor that you will have learned enough that you will be satisfied with your education. Time in university is the best time for getting involved with absolutely anything outside the classroom and getting skills like budgeting, managing projects, leadership, teamwork, understanding business, understanding interpersonal politics. Intertwining the in-classroom and out-of-classroom learning can feel really rewarding!

Countries I’ve Visited
