About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn to navigate properly. No, this isn't about 'navigating the tumultous journey that is life', I just want to be able to use a map and compass properly.
ABOUT ME
Jack of all trades, master of none. A scientist at heart, I also enjoy books, films, video games, sports, nights out in fact I'll try anything once.
Spent the first 18 years of my life in Nottingham, now living in Sheffield, less knives and more trees.
PHILOSOPHY
We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors ...but they all have to learn to live in the same box.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Finally have a couch so I may actually be able to host people for the first time in my 2 years on the site :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
One small bit via a fellow traveller, met up with a local in Belgrade and went clubbing. Fantastic club and amazing people, one of the best nights of my life!
Interests
Willing to try anything and over the last few years have salsa danced, hiked around Greenland, taught grammar in Kenya, raised funds for charity, played Aussie Rules Football and learnt to diablo.
My main passion, aside from medicine, is basketball and I'd love to get over to the US to watch a game and some point. Go Pistons!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music taste is pretty eclectic, currently listening to Billy Joel, Hopsin, Macklemore, Mumford and Sons. Currently loving The Game of Thrones series, both books and TV.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Emerging from a tent above Sermalik Fjord, Angmassalik Island shrouded in mist with only the mountain tops visible, and spending the morning watching the mist roll away to reveal hundreds of icebergs. One of a thousand perfect views on a 3-week expedition in Greenland
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give people some basketball tips and teach them some basic diablo tricks. Ever fancied some authentic British cuisine? Unlikely, but some of it's worth a try and I can give any guests a taste of Britain. Alternatively, my chicken and chorizo stew is not bad.
For any sports fans, Sheffield has two football teams (United and Wednesday), an ice hockey team (Steelers) and a basketball team (Sharks). If you were interested I would be more than happy to sort out tickets, and if you wanted, come with you to the game.
