About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make new friends and find great coffee.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in South Dakota. After I finished my degree I made a massive road trip around the US visiting friends family and a few couch surfers along the way. I ended up in California where I started my current job as a Developer for BizeeBee. I landed this job because of a series of fortunate events and a couch surfer I hosted.

I love travelling and seeing the country. This is something I get to do while still working as my job is remote.

My background also includes working with children as a mentor and teaching them to be leaders.

PHILOSOPHY

Follow my life by four values: caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty. It keeps things simple, but these values cover everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed almost as much as I have hosted. I need to change that up and host more often, but that would require me getting my own place again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience has just been great. From surfers showing up late and night and talking till the early morning, even though they have things to get done early that morning. During my travels before I was unable to stay long in one area, but that has since become easier.

It has just extended my network of friends and who I know around the US.

Interests

Hiking, backpacking, climbing, and driving. I also am a problem solver and love thinking about everything.

Music, Movies, and Books

Thought provoking content such as The Matrix, Ender's Game, I Robot, etc. There are many things that could fit here. I love listening to all music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Japan is by far one of the most incredible places I have been. Maybe someday I might live in Tokyo, but not yet.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything to do with computers I can teach you and maybe I can learn something from you. If I don't have an answer to your question I will find it.
