About Me
Hi!
I'm a pretty mellow guy, easy-going and I get along with just about anyone. I love meeting exciting, positive, and adventurous people and letting life be a little bit uncertain. My great-grandfather walked and hopped trains to get from Russia to China to get to the US during the Great Purge, so I think I have the adventurer gene in my DNA :D
I hope to someday live in a regenerative farming village where there is a thriving community and not ruled by money or power, but by cooperation and mutual support between people. We have everything we need right in front of us :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I did some couchsurfing while road tripping across the USA a few years ago and have stayed with some great people in Seattle, Salt Lake City, Taos, and New Orleans.
We also regularly host surfers at Sunwise Co-op and I love to be able to share the gift of a warm place to sleep at night for travelers.
I love couchsurfing because it allows people to make new friends all around the world and makes travel experience possible for many people that couldn't otherwise afford it.
Note: For some reason I wasn't getting my couchsurfing request notification emails in my Gmail so my response rate reflects that...I try to get back to everyone and host when I can.
Interests
I'd say I have an unquenchable thirst for experience and understanding, and I'm pleasantly surprised to be learning something new every day (or unlearning something new every day).
I believe that music is the universal language that allows us to communicate and break down the barriers that we create. I love jamming out with people and connecting with people through music.
Beyond music, I enjoy growing food in the Sunwise Co-op garden, building things, and participating in projects that are improving our communities and people's lives.
I realized some years ago that what makes me really happy is to serve others (but have it be mutual).

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything that is inspiring, full of energy, and creative.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done a lot of traveling and have had a lot of awesome experiences in my short life on this Earth, but I think what continues to amaze me the most are the people that I have met along the way and the synchronicity of how things happen just at the right moments in life :) Meeting people that have that drive and passion and that energy to create despite all the bullshit that we have to deal with is what inspires me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know all about psychology and neuro stuff, and philosophy and a bunch of random stuff that might be useful in case of the zombie-pocalypse.
I'm also a music teacher (guitar, banjo, keys) and would be happy to teach some music to anyone that hosts me or surfs with me :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
