About Me

ABOUT ME

My wife and I traveled around the world for a year from 2010 - 2011, and then moved to San Francisco and have had two kids since! Needless to say, we are very busy juggling work and two babies. We love Couchsurfing and are happy to welcome people into our homes. We probably won't be able to hang out much, as we usually do not go out during the week anymore. But we would love to share a breakfast or dinner in our home with you, and if you're around on a weekend, we might be able to go on a hike in one of the many beautiful parks nearby.

PHILOSOPHY

My mission in life is to spread happiness to all through love, passion, and a sense of humor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been lucky to have had couchsurfers host me and my wife during our one year trip around the world. Without the CSing community, we wouldn't have nearly as many wonderful experiences (and we wouldn't be able to afford the trip, either). I have hosted many people at home before the trip, a few times they have been couchsurfers, and many times they have been dancers who were recommended to me by other dancers (usually lindy hoppers)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have many fond CSing experiences and memories, ranging from getting amazing, cheap ceviche from a hole-in-the-wall joint with our first ever host, Marco, to going to a night-before-a-wedding celebration in Egypt with Mohamed!

Interests

Lindy Hop (swing) dancing, tango dancing, live music in general, especially jazz. I am a huge jazz fan. Theater. SCUBA diving. Random experiences and exploring the less-explored areas of cities and country-sides.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Our one year trip around the world was filled with one adventure after another, from hiking the Inca Trail in Peru, to tracking gorillas in Uganda, to visiting my wife's 93 year old grandmother in a tiny village in Vietnam.

Teach, Learn, Share

We are happy to teach anyone interested how to lindy hop or tango dance!
