We are Dave and Erin (and Mack the dog). While this profile is posted under Dave's name, it's really the two (three?) of us who are hosting.

Dave is a former traveler, originally from England but living in the USA for many years.

Erin is a California native with a sense of adventure. Her grandparents introduced her to traveling when she was a teenager.

Mack is a scruffy terrier mix. He can be a little shy, but if you give him a piece of jerky hell be your friend for ever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A couple of friends were talking about the great experiences they'd had hosting guests from couch surfing. Hearing that conversation brought back fond memories of times I'd been invited into random strangers homes while traveling in Europe many years ago. Back then I promised myself that when I had a house of my own I'd be equally hospitable.

Well, that time has come. I have a house. I also have a couch. I've always had a passion for meeting new people. I strongly believe that building a more peaceful world begins with building one connection at a time.
