About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is exploring, discovering and sharing the beauty, mystery, wildness, wisdom and magick of this world.
ABOUT ME
building and running an Eco-homestead including providing a place for international travelers to stay in paradise- a launch-pad for the rest of Hawaii.
I am an adventurer, instructor and producer. I really enjoy inspiring people to live life to the fullest while discovering and fulfilling their highest calling.
I most enjoy guiding people into the wilds of Alaska and living and workin' at Eco-homesteads and villages in Hawaii.
My dream is living the best of both worlds... Alaska and Hawaii... wilderness and technology, nature and society, being wild and free yet still makin' a difference for family, friends and community.
Another passion is showing people how to use cameras, computer and the world-wide web to create, promote and market their art: music, crafts, business, ideas and causes.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophies include the Golden Rule, The Hawaiian Principles and the Four Agreements. I have studied many religions, honor most of them, but follow none. Instead I glean the most simple and practical wisdom I can discover from any and all of them such as Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Paganism, Wiccan and others, especially Native American shamanism and Hawaiian Kahuna Magick. I also honor the spiritual development work of Deepak Chopra, Tom Brown, Jr and Ken Carey along with the works of many other philosophers. "In wildness is the preservation of the world."-Henry David Thoreau / "The clearest path into the Universe is through a forest wilderness." -John Muir / "What you think and feel becomes real." -quantum physics
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couch Surfing has really been there for me when I was a stranger in a strange land... needing a warm, dry, place to sleep for the night.
That's one of the reasons I enjoy making shelter available to travelers to the Islands. It helps to have a place to land.
I also do professional guiding and usually guarantee staff, students and clients the adventure of a lifetime.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My couch-surfing experiences have been really positive and mutually beneficial. From Alaska to Hawaii, I have either surfed or hosted surfers. Most were really cool. Some have become great friends.
Interests
Healing Arts, Martial Arts, Multi-media Production, Shamanism, Alaska Wilderness Adventure guiding, Stewardship Projects and producing educational documentaries. I enjoy working with kids, teens and elders. Adults kinda suck, but some of them are fun.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Among the most amazing things I have done or seen include the extraordinary beauty, wildness and mystery of Nature along with guiding others to experience it directly and/or through meditation, visualization and inner planes travel (being able to fly like in a dream). Other epic events include placing my hand upon the head of a Brown Bear, Sailing away into the sunset to a place far away called Nuka Bay, climbing mountains few have climbed (DragonShoulder and Ragged-top), kayaking across the notorious Turnagain Arm, hiking the Napali Coast barefoot and with only a lighter (no food, water, clothes or gear). Then there is the experience of just being still, quiet, tuned-in, and aware... aware of the Life Force within and all around.
Wakantanka is my highest achievement and endeavor to date.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share with people how to tune-in to Nature and their own internal guidance system (intuition) through active or passive meditation, exploring the wilderness of Alaska and Hawaii and documenting and publishing the highlights via story, photo and video. I love to play the flute in such a way that connects me with nature and the mystical realm of life. Healing Arts, Fitness, Nutrition, Martial Arts and most of the Media Arts I practice and teach on a regular basis. I love showing people how to use their video cameras and their Mac or PC computers to make and publish their own music, movies, photos and stories. Wilderness Education is a forte including showing people how to build a shelter, make a fire, and how to find food and water; travel in the back-country and how to talk to animals, plants and trees.
I love to learn new things which often comes through great conversation with interesting people and adventures to new places.
Most of all my priority is cultivating an ever deepening connection to the Source (by whatever name).
