I'm an American currently living in Florianópolis, Brazil. I work as a private English tutor. I love travel and photography and I usually travel at least 12 weeks per year. My long-term goal is to eventually open a gallery featuring some of my best photography. I'm planning to backpack across Europe starting in December 2017 for 70 days. I'll begin my trip in Istanbul, Turkey and finish in Dublin, Ireland! I'm looking forward to meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and taking some great photos!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people primarily. Also when I travel it is important to me to have an experience similar to what the local people have. I've stayed in Hilton Hotels and they feel the same no matter where you are in the world. Some people like this but I prefer to stay in hostels or to do this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked the Camino de Santiago trail across Spain. I also walked the Hadrian's Wall an ancient wall built by the Roman Empire that marks the modern day border of England and Scotland. The wall spans the entire length of England from coast to coast. It takes about 7 days to complete, depending on your pace.

I am an English tutor by profession so I can practice English conversation with you (assuming that I'm traveling in a country where English is not the native language).
