About Me

ABOUT ME

[UPDATE 2016] From February 2016 on I started studying at Univeristas Gadjah Mada in Jogjakarta, Indonesia. I love the country, especially Jogja. You are invited to stay with me here in our big house. I would be very happy to show you the city.
I'm very open-minded, easy to get along with and my expectations are not high at all. I can feel comfortable in every accomodation as long as the hosts are nice.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to message me.

My GoPro Camera and I would be really happy if you offered us to host ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I cannot offer a couch to crash as I'm living in a shared student accommodation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have any couch experience so far

Interests

FOOD-FOOD-FOOD-LOCAL FOOD
Haha everywhere I go I could eat the whole day. I want to try everything there is to try, usually you are getting so many advices from locals that you don't know where to start.

Except from travelling my main interests are about sports especially outdoor. Snowboarding, Surfing, Kitesurfing and Snowkiting, Mountainbiking are just some to be listed.
Moreover I like going to the gym where I can push myself to my personal limits every time.

Additionally I like working with children in form of summercamps and organizing them a great day.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm that kind of person who does not have one favorite genre but listens to them all. It depends on the song or the artist, not on the genre ;-)

Especially while travelling the best travel partner is a good book. I enjoy reading thrillers and other catching stuff. Sharing books among travellers in hostels and homestays is part of the experiencein my opinion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing done was bungee jumping on Christmas day in New Zealand.

Teach, Learn, Share

Currently I am learning Bahasa Indonesia because in my opinion it is impolite to not at least try to communicate with the locals in their native language. They'll recognize that you are making an effort and reward you with a smile, kindness and help in return. Moreover it is a very easy language to learn and saved me already in many situations (in terms of getting from A to B, ordering food and bargaining) as the majority of the locals don't speak English or only very little - "hania sedikit ingrris" ;)

Ah and I am working on increasing my "spice-support-level". Every time we go for dinner in Jogja we are trying to support a little bit more spice, I am curious how far we will get by the end of our stay here...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Many funny stories, experiences and shared interests. If you are keen to, let's explore your city together, have a drink and discover local cuisine.
