About Me

I'm completely new to this Couch Surfing - but you have to start somewhere. Deep breath.

You are what you love, and I love:
Loud laughs, guitars and drums, poppadoms, one pot recipes, a little peace, a little madness, a nice fresh wave in the face, a good hug, high fives, mescal margaritas, road trips with music, bike rides to country pubs, chewing the fat, talking breeze, putting the world to rights, All music that's played from the heart, art, Bakewell tart, with custard, Counting Crowes, listening to birds, poetry and fine words, a sense of the absurd, hats, cats and taking nonsense with strangers.

Learning Spanish right now. I'm not fluent but I'm out of nursery that's for sure.

Travelling where the wind blows me. It seems to be working ok so far.

I lived in England all my life before I left - the last ten years in London. The longer I'm away, the more ridiculous our weather seems to me. Seriously.

I was a writer for TV advertising and created many adverts over the years, but decided to travel and try writing my own stories - without trying to sell a car at the end of them.

I like to think that I'm respectful and treat people as I like to be treated. Respect is the key - your couch is safe with me.

Whoever you are, I would love to meet you and to get to know you. And if not now, someday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Real people, real places, and real life is what travelling is for me. I think I've found the right place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think I have saved at least 5 lives. I have played drums on Bulgarian TV. I played for Arsenal youth team when I was 14.

Teach, Learn, Share

David can can teach you drums, guitar and how to cook a mean Moroccan tagine. He's a native English speaker and experienced marketing professional.
Anything that is in my silly little mind - you are more than welcome to.

I would love to jam with other musicians or to teach novices. Also to cook and share recipes and of course stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can be a help in the house and not just a guest. That would be a pleasure. I can cook for us if you like - to make sure you are fed and watered is the least I can do.
Also you are welcome to play any instruments that I am travelling with, and to read any books.
Should you wish to seriously learn some better English we can do that too.
