Hi! My name is David. I currently live in the small town of Johnson, Vermont. I have lived here for 8 years and it is a great little place to live. I have worked in IT for over 5 years now. Like many people tired of the 9 -5 lifestyle. I am looking to make a change and bring more travel & adventure back into my life. Growing up I did a lot of travelling around the US, I have been to 25 states, and 3 countries. I loved travelling with my parents on their book tours and art shows.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing seems like a great place to meet people and get an authentic feel of the day to day life in places all over the world. I will be travelling solo and any chance to meet new people will be an awesome opportunity! I am not much of an amusement park tourist, meaning that I really want to experience the reality of living in a place rather than vacationing in it. I am super excited to start my adventure and hope to have some luck with couchsurfing, I am also open to helping you with chores and errands if you need!

Music, Movies, and Books

Interstellar and Into The Wild are my 2 favorite movies. I have always been a big fan of all genres of music. Half my family is musicians so I have a pretty open mind and have been exposed to a lot of different genres.

The soundtrack by Hanns Zimmer for Interstellar is one of the best pieces of music I have ever heard.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I hitchhiked from Johnson, VT to Portland, ME in one day! It was an amazing experience, I met a lot of really awesome people. One girl even brought me on a hike in White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire. It was beautiful!
