ABOUT ME

I'm from the east coast, spent a couple years on the west coast, and now live on the middle coast :P. I'm pursuing education through a number of avenues and I'm excited for what the future holds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be totally honest, to save money. Aside from that, meeting new and different people from across the county is a blast. I look forward to returning the favor some day once I am more settled.

Interests

biking, running, hiking, reading, watching too much tv occasionally, good movies, new things...my newest thing being yoga to help with a nagging, and once excruciating, rotator cuff injury. it's now a mix of my own physical therapy, fun, relaxation, and fitness. i really enjoy it and i'm glad i discovered it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've got a pretty open mind when it comes to music. I generally just loathe country music. I've for the most part grown out of hip-hop, aside from that I usually seek out songs that either relax me, excite me, or bring about feelings of nostalgia. Love songs/ballads get the nod on occasion as well.

I love a good drama and obviously comedies. I also like finding somewhat obscure/'artsy' foreign films on occasion. Not really one for action movies, but I've seen all of Neill Blomkamp's movies and love them.

I really need to read more! I have so many I want to read and countless more I feel like I must read as soon as possible. And I need to read 1984 already! I try to mix in the 'intellectual' types and books considered to be 'classics' as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Picked up and moved from the east to the west coast, and now to the midwest. It's opened my eyes, given me perspective, and opened me up to different ways of experiencing life and how I want to prioritize my needs and desires and what my needs and desires should actually be.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wouldn't say I am an expert on really anything at all, I'm too scatter-brained. I have too many interests to recall. But I love good conversation, whether it be listening and learning or sharing and telling.

Peace and quiet, conversation, I'll cook if you want--though I'm no chef, and whatever else I can.
