Enjoying summer and my holidays with my girlfriend–and looking forward to exploring Ireland again!

ABOUT ME

I went to boarding school when I was 15. I learned a lot about getting along with people, about me and how to get things done. Starting summer 2006, I was working in the beautiful Harz region in Central Germany as a director's assistent at the local theatre. Now I'm assisting and directing back in my home town, Dessau.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am quite eager to host people and have done so numerous times—it has always been a blast!
Also, I keep meeting great people who let me crash on their couch; what a wonderful thing CouchSurfing is.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All through the Netherlands (which I travelled by bike for three weeks) - and in Aachen, Oldenburg, Bremen.
Also several days in Kopenhagen, three weeks in the Holy Land and three weeks in Spain.

Centres d'intérêt

Theatre, photography, internet, graphic design and typography. Other cultures, personalities and countries when it comes to travelling.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music: Mostly easy-listening for breakfast to start the day. I love listening to radio (Deutschlandradio Kultur) because others decide what music to play (and it isn't pop).
Movies: All kinds of genres, as long as it isn't too plain stupid. Recently watched and liked: Kings (series), The Borgias (series), Game of Thrones (series) . Also huge fan of the Muppets, Simpsons and Monty Python.
Books: Don't have time to enjoy reading as much as I would like to. Reading the weekly newspaper "Die Zeit". Fan of Terry Pratchett.

Experienced: Friendship, what a wonderful thing.
Done: Published a book (http://www.amazon.de/theatrum-ante-portas-Jahre-2002-2007/dp/3925522239/). Went through all the Netherlands by bike. Directed a bunch of theatre productions in Germany.
