I travel, I run, I read, I take photos and I talk a lot.

In no particular order. Except for talking. I talk a lot!

I’m a Swede raised in the south of Sweden (so north of pretty much everything else). A few years back, after having lived in the US, in France and on a warship patrolling the Indian Ocean off the coast of Somalia, I left the south and moved to Stockholm. Since the summer of 2014 though, London is the city I call home. For now at least.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It started out trying to earn some good karma. I have a flat in a very attractive location in a great city that happens to be pretty expensive and thought I could help travellers on a budget out by offering them a couch to crash on. I thought people who are visiting a new place and want to spend some time there with a local are my kind of people.

Interests

I am a traveller at heart! I enjoy researching new destinations even though I might not have any immediate plans to visit them. Looking at maps makes the adventurer in me come alive and I love the momentarily separation from reality while I picture myself "on the road".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 9 months with the Swedish Navy off the Somali coast taking part in “Operation Atalanta” with the aim to prevent and combat acts of piracy and to escort ships carrying UN World Food Programme supplies. I'm proud to have participated in something that made a difference to someone.
