About Me
---------------------------ESPAÑOL----------------------
¡Hola Couchsurfers! Bienvenido a mi perfil.

QUIEN SOY YO?
Me llamo Deb/ Deba y, a veces, como David. :)
Optimista. Blogger. Voluntario. Esposo. Hombre.

Hello Couchsurfers! Welcome to my profile.
It's great if you are coming to my city and looking for someone who hosts you. Even though you don't have time to read a bunch of profiles if you choose me as your host, here are a couple of things:
1. 👉🔎 Go through the MY HOME 🏠 ❗section to understand the living arrangements and where I live.
2. 👉🔎 Understand how to write a good CS request ( don't just copy-paste the same request to 10 or so people) and how CS works if you are new or relatively new to it.

3. ⏩I prefer that you have some references⏪ There are so many ways to do that even if you are just starting out, for example by going to CS events.

ABOUT ME:
I go by the name Deb/ Deba, and sometimes as David. :)
Easy going. Hard-shell optimist. Blogger and wannabe YouTuber. Volunteer. A human being, just like you.
Born in India and moved to the beautiful city of Valencia, Spain very recently. Taking my time to learn about Spanish culture.
I have traveled/lived/worked in South America ( Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia) for a year and a half, and I speak fluent Spanish. Married to a Colombian, and I spend most of my time drifting between Indian and Colombian cultures.
Many moons ago, I used to live in the USA. Lived in Utah and Missouri for a couple of years, so I know a thing or two about Americans.
Above all, I love to meet people, and I can definitely meet up and show you around, and share stories. I think it is one of my favorite things about travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that the world reveals its great colors to you once you open your eyes to see 'em.
In the same light, I open my heart so that I can meet, like and befriend the amazing people there are- with their heart-warming stories about being loved and lost, of light and darkness, of trivial pursuits and wonderful journeys. I usually like a guest to stay for 2/3 nights at least, so that we have a genuine chance to know each other. The same goes when I am trying to surf.
Here is the thing. Couchsurfing is not about saving money. It is much more about meeting locals and learning more about the place you are visiting and each other.
I have hosted 100+ guests till today. While I have not surfed that much, I have done it in several countries with 10+ hosts. So you could say I am someone who has been on both ends of the spectrum.
