About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find friends and to extend the limits of my knowledge!

ABOUT ME

Since I was born I lived in a little town on the sea in italy and I've had the possibility to enjoy every single summer of my life on the beach.
I've attended the elementary school (5 y) in that town and the middle school in a town next to my hometown (3 y).
Since I was a child I've always like everything about science, for this reason I've choose and technical institute as high school with the specialization of chemistry.
In the meanwhile I've matured even an interest for sports: sailing and tennis in particular but after a while I've followed only sailing and I could say that is my real passion.
I've traveled since I was 8 with my parents, those first travelling experiences gave me the passion for it, for this reason I try to travel as soon as I can. I Try to see new parts of the world and to meet new people every time, preferring Hostels or Camping sites over Hotels and more luxurious accommodations.

I am a M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry, graduated from the University of Bologna in 2014, after an exciting Erasmus of 10 months in Helsinki (2013-2104), Finland.

PHILOSOPHY

The limits of our achievements reside mainly in our minds, never give up and try always because if you start something thinking you won't be able to do it so is more possible you'll fail because of this lack of self confidence.

Critical thinking is fundamental for development, always verify what is told to you and even what you tell to others. Scientific method is not just for scientist!

There are no bad experiences or good experiences, there are only experiences from which you always can learn something.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've participated in couchsurfing by hanging out with new friends and being hosted, but when I'll have my own apartment I'll finally start to host people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted once in Germany and Helsinki, but I've not had any chance to host anyone yet because I don't have an apartment of mine.

Interests

I like Chemistry, all the scientific disciplines and languages. I've a vivid curiosity so I like to learn new things about everything.
I practice sailing as a main sport and Krav Maga but I like even running, tennis, gym, martial arts, self defense arts and to see sports in general.
My hobbies are so many that it's hard for me to make a list, collecting flags, cooking and keeping ants are the majors.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Forrest Gump, The Curious case of Benjamin Button, The lord of the Rings...

Music: Fabrizio De Andre, metal, rock, classical

For the books it depends about the moment.. I love historical fiction but even fantasy, horror, thriller principally. If a book it's properly written it does worth reading it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The old times when I was in Garda's lake for sailing races or trainings... those moment were great, I was camping with my sailmates, we started training in the early morning, stopping in a random dock for the lunch, the back to sailing again in the afternoon, It's just something that cannot be described.
But even the W&T made in US during summer 2011, that has been a mix of experiences that i will never forget!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to help in chemistry when needed and even to made languages exchanges with the languages I'm studying.
I teach sailing as a job every summer in my town, so in the case there would be the chance..
