I love languages and have studied and taught them. I adore travelling and am fortunate enough to have seen many exotic places. I love good food and wine, good company, generally partying, music festivals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfed in the US, and will again when i get the chance. Host all those i can while i am earning to go surfing again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed with my sister with some really lovely people as we travelled between New York and New Orleans. Had an amazing experience and would recommend it to anyone. I have hosted a number of different people in London.

Music: Pretty much everything from Jazz, Blues, Classical to Drum and Bass, Rock and Jungle. To give you a rough idea: abdullah ibrahim, fat freddy's drop, phaeleh, high contrast, tenacious d, extreme, toots and the maytals, hot 8 brass band, bessie smith, duke ellington, dizzie gillespie, roni size, maximo park, joanna newsom, QOTSA, the white stripes etc.

Books: The Island, Hommage to Catalonia, Down and Out in London and Paris (anything by George Orwell), Half a Yellow Sun, Grapes of Wrath, To Kill a Mocking Bird, One Hundred Years of Solitude, The General and His Labyrinth, Catch 22 etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taken a donkey cart on an islamic pilgrimage in west africa and walked along the Great Wall of China in the snow.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English. I am not an awful cook and can show you that english food is not a boring as everyone claims. I am always keen to learn, just about anything.
