About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Share stories, experiences, and ideas.

ABOUT ME

Hi Everyone! I'm a native of San Francisco but living in Los Angeles.

In 2014, I quit my job after 6+ years. I learned a lot and met incredible people, but it was finally time to move on. Soon after, I spent 6 months traveling to the following places:

US Roadtrip (Southwest, Rockies, Midwest, East Coast)
Mexico
Thailand
Hong Kong
Vietnam

After returning, I changed careers and moved away from SF.

I'm now working as a software developer at a startup in Hollywood.

PHILOSOPHY

Strive to be a lifelong learner.

Make decisions and live life not influenced by fear. Fear drives towards short-term decision making at the expense of long-term goals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just joined CS in March 2014. I've had great experiences with other sharing sites like Airbnb – no doubt CS will be the same.

I surfed during the summer of 2014, and I'm hoping to return the favor now that I'm in LA.

I went to regular CS meetups in San Francisco (and now Los Angeles) and met other locals and travelers passing by. I've met really awesome, intelligent, and warm people. Traveling and meeting new people have always been a passion. I hope to contribute and grow the CS community!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

3 best places I've ever traveled to:

Trekking through the Andes Mountains – Salkantay and the Sacred Valley.

Exploring the fjords of Norway. Watching the sun set at 1:00 AM.

Road tripping through the American Southwest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've always loved teaching throughout my entire life. I held training roles at work, and taught English briefly in Japan. During college and high school, I frequently tutored other students. My favorite subject has always been history, so I'm always willing to have a lively conversation on any historical topic.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Viet Nam
