Overview
About Me
I'm a reader, a musician, an organizer, and a traveler. I spent the last two and a half years working in affordable housing in Washington, D.C., and now I'm spending some time away from the desk job life to travel and reflect on my priorities and what I want to do next.
I'm an American with an asterisk* - I grew up in the Netherlands with American parents, and then moved to the United States when I was 15. This gives me different perspectives on things like politics (I'm a socialist), and international issues. I like talking about these things and hearing other people's perspectives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to see new places from a local perspective, and meet people who call that place their home.
I couchsurfed outside Paris and in Lyons while traveling through France. The lady in Paris gave me a nutella sandwich for breakfast, which is when I knew I had hit the big time.
