About Me

Attention: we live about 30 minutes by car outside of Cologne (a place called Schmitzhöhe-Lindlar). By train you could go to Bergisch Gladbach or Engelskirchen, where we could eventually pick you up. It is very green here...if that doesn't bother you, you are very welcome :-)

Me is we: We (Kathrin and David) met each other through CS (see our links to our past CS-experiences)...and ended up marrying each other and having two daughters: Merel (born february 2016) and Frida (november 2019). Sometimes David's 18-year old son Duncan is here too, depends on the moment... We are both vegetarian, love nature, stories, yoga, meditational archery, hiking, bees trees, life...and we really like languages...
All the time enjoying music, creating, reading, diving into nature, writing, dreaming, exploring...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have travelled and hosted quite a bit through couchsurfing before we met each other and it doesn't matter if we host or couchsurf: we love this way of traveling because we feel like it enriches the experience of the journey as well as your everyday life.

from wikipedia: "CouchSurfing is not a 'free' bed, it is an exchange, - it is about the experience of meeting and spending time with similar minded people. 'What can you bring and what can the host offer in the time you share'. You should be looking for a host to stay with and not just a couch to use."

Teach, Learn, Share

teach: see below

Kathrin:
- learn: I want to learn to sew my own clothes, improvise on my flute (the real technique) and maybe beat-boxing on my flute

- share: If your back hurts from carrying your backpack I could show you some yoga exercises which might help

David:
- learn: how to make all the people in the world love each other..., to speak and understand all the languages in the world (I know, I ask a lot)

- share: stuff about solitary bees; a good hiking trail, playtime :)
