ABOUT ME

My name is David Vila and I am originally from Spain. I grew up in Bilbao, in the Basque country in Spain, but all my family is from Galicia, northwestern Spain. I have lived in many different places around the uk and also in the US. I spent a few years in Guildford, Surrey, UK, as well as in London. Then I also lived in Nebraska and now (as you have probably noticed) I live in Nashville.

I love music and literature. I have a B.A. in Spanish language and literature, a BMus in contemporary music with a concentration in guitar, a MA in literature with a minor in music and I am working on my Phd in the same topic.

I love to play guitar and sing with people in a park drinking a few beers (not in the US though, it´s illegal!).

Oh and I am also very sarcastic which sometimes can create some awkward moments. I love British humour and Al Murray the pub landlord!

I love flamenco music and blues music. As a musician though I pretty much listen to anything, and I also try to play everything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, every time I travel I find people who know someone I know. And I mean every time. Example, went to Cuba and met my music teacher´s father there!
