About Me

I generally reply to all requests but recently missed a few because of travelling/e-mail issues.

I was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and have lived there my entire life. My background is Chinese, but English is my best and first language.

I consider myself a "people person" and enjoy the company of others, especially close friends. I am open-minded and I really care about those who are important to me.

I love meeting new people and friends. Of all the things I experience whilst travelling around the world, the best memories are by far the amazing people I've met.

I am mature for my age, and get along well with people older than myself. I am happy to host both genders and get along fine with both.

Meeting people and hopefully making some new friends from around the world is the main reason I am getting more involved in CouchSurfing. I've so far surfed twice, once in Montreal and once in Vancouver, and feel fortunate to have had an amazing experience and two new friends that I stay in touch with, and plan to see again in the future :)

After returning home, I'd now like to pay the favour forward by hosting some surfers and I am pleased to say that I am not working or studying at the moment, so I have a lot of free time to show you around, if you like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've CouchSurfed at a couple of hosts in Canada (Vancouver and Montreal) and had great experiences. Met really nice people who I will stay in touch with :)

I've hosted a few people from around the world and enjoyed showing them around.

Interests

In general I would like to succeed in business, as far as my career is concerned. I'm not entirely sure how yet, but I have already had a decent amount of experience (especially for my age) and have positive expectations for the future. I am generally an opportunist, and am not afraid to try new things. I enjoy a variety of things, photography, watching films, etc.

Of course I love travelling too, and have been fortunate enough to experience some of the world already.

I also love spending time with my friends, and this is something I miss most during my travels. I am a pretty logical person overall, but I also have a creative side too (photography, film - preferring film festival type movies to Hollywood action blockbusters etc). I also spend quite a lot of time on the computer and internet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love film and there would be a lot of movies worth listing, but my favourite movie is American Beauty. I also like a variety of other movies from different genres including Dark Knight, Brick, Spirited Away and Up in the Air.

Favourite band is probably Arcade Fire and I mostly like alternative
