About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'd like to basically surf around the country, and within a year or two, around the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going guy from a smaller, but fast growing town in Texas called Denton, just north of the Dallas area. I love being out on the road, and find myself with a very unfulfilled wanderlust pretty often. I'd really love to save enough money to get out there on the road, so pretty soon hopefully I'll be able to achieve that. I'm an extremely open person, very open to music, indiscriminate towards religion, philosophy, or how people live their lives in general, although I do hold my own personal beliefs. I love good conversation, regardless of topic as long as it's meaningful. I also love people, and the stories they have and things they have to say. I have a lot of faith in people as a whole, and believe there's something uniquely special about everyone.

PHILOSOPHY

Although I was raised in a strictly Christian household, my ideals and values lie far from the church, and I'm extremely open minded and accepting to all religious or ethical paths. If you're able to find happiness and peace with anything in life, I think that's your business and you should pursue that, and others shouldn't have the right to tell you you're wrong or discriminate those ideals in any way. I live my life with an open mind, yet retain my personal values and beliefs. Really, I just believe in loving people and receiving the same love in return.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I'm just getting started, but I'd like to head out on the road pretty soon, and maybe do some hosting before and after that.

Interests

I love music, and play an assortment of different instruments, mostly piano and guitar. Of course, I love listening to music is well, and I'm not picky at all on what I like to listen to. I love folk, country folk, bluegrass, classic rock of all types, newer rock, a few different types of metal, lots of nonmetal too, alternative, rap, I'll pretty much listen to anything. I also, of course love traveling and being out on the road. I looove any kind of camping, rugged or just in a campground. A lot of the most beautiful things in the world to me are found in nature. I also own my own motorcycle, a 1979 Yamaha, and love riding it and working on it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last spring, some friends and I went camping in the Guadalupe Mountains National Park, and climbed Guadalupe Peak, which is the highest point in Texas, about 9000 ft. It was a totally rough climb, and we camped at the sight about 1000 ft below the peak before we climbed to the top. Haha it was quite an adventure, considering it dropped to 11 degrees that night, which we were definitely not expecting. But the next day, we climbed to the top, which had an absolutely beautiful view. The whole trip was amazing, it was just so exciting to see so many beautiful new things in nature and just explore on our own adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I know a lot about music, I've been playing piano since I was about 7 years old and am extremely well versed in most things musical. It's definitely a passion of mine. I also know quite a bit about most types of engines, car and motorcycles, that sort of stuff. I also used to play ice hockey, so I'm good at teaching people who to ice skate :)
