About Me

At the beginning of an awesome 2017, starting with 2 weeks in Sri Lanka before year's end, then onto Prague and Central EU, Central America and Mexico. Brazil and South America, back to the EU, Israel, potentially Africa and most certainly closing out the year in Southeast Asia.

Mildly impulsive traveller. I like flying places and climbing things, usually. Otherwise, I lead digital product management for an ecommerce company and get to build exciting things on the internet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Half the fun of traveling should be meeting amazing people. I tend to avoid guide books like the plague and would much rather just "go". That doesn't always work out, though, so it'd be nice to be with locals who can 1) show me a thing or two 2) partake in a few adventures and 3) help keep me from getting arrested ;)

Most of my trips will be relatively long-term (2-3+ weeks), so I don't think I'll be sleeping on many couches, but I'd love to hang out.

Interests

Hiking, sailing, exploring and... drinking?

I recently started to learn kitesurfing and that's awesome, so I'm going to try and continue learning that.

I'm an avid skier since I was six, but something keeps drawing me to warmer climates.

I don't think there's any kind of activity I wouldn't want to try, though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not entirely amazing, but my modus operandi is to book international trips with under 12 hours notice. I think I get a little high off of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

When my mind is working correctly, I'm a fairly decent armchair historian and standup philosopher.

I can teach you some Russian, too.

And how to get your alcohol tolerance up (isn't that the same as teaching you Russian?).

Professionally, though, and it's not in the spirit of adventure, I can coach you on building anything on the internet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Coffee, dinner, drinks, stories, philosophy and encouragement into impulsive behaviors are on me.

Aruba, Bahamas, Canada, Dominican Republic, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Russian Federation, Sri Lanka, Sweden, United Kingdom, Venezuela
