Overview
About Me
I'm from Ireland and recently received a US working visa so will be heading over to the States on 4th July to look in to possible engineering jobs.
Having just finished a year of travelling while working on boats, some of the best experiences I've had have been meeting great people from around the globe. One of the jobs was skippering yachts for holiday guests which taught us a lot about the opportunities available to good people looking to make the most of life.
After spending 9 years studying engineering at Trinity College Dublin, I'm looking forward to new experiences in the States and Couchsurfing seems like a good way to start.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing seems like a good opportunity to meet great people as well as providing a grand way to get an authentic experience of a city.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last November I sailed across the Atlantic as part of the Atlantic Rally Cruise. Besides from a storm ripping one of the sails at 3am at night, it was one of the best experiences of life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a qualified sailing instructor, racing coach and yachtmaster if anyone would like to learn how to sail. I also have a PhD in engineering if anyone is interested in that either.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Not sure if this means costs or stories but I'll happily share both.
