About Me

I just got another "real job" and I'm trying my best to retain my adventuring spirit. Fortunately, this most recent "real job" is in a new and vibrant city, and being a hub for international travel, I'm planning on spending as much time as possible exploring everything around it!

Life is what you make of it so do yourself a favor and make the most of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm sad to admit that I've never hosted a couchsurfer. I know, I'm sorry. I have always wanted to, but have always had roommates that didn't want me to. And that continues to be the case...

Nobody knows more about a city than its residents, and I've found that people are really in their element when they're showing newbies around their home. I'd love to see your city through your eyes.

Interests

First and foremost, I love being outside. I love cyciling. I love hiking. I love watersports.

But most of all, I love exploring.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a blessing to which you'll find me listening at most times.

I like a bit of everything, and dislike a bit more of everything. Can't say I have a favorite genre, but up there are electronic stuff (both fast and slow), rock, old school hip hop, motown, anything funky, and the list goes on...

I do enjoy movies, but I'm usually pretty easily impressed.

And books are almost as good as conversing about them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ah, such a tough question!

Maybe not the most amazing, but I always think back fondly to the standing ovation I received after singing Hotel California in a karaoke bar in La Ceiba, Honduras.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will gladly exchange language skills with anyone I meet, and I can offer Spanish and (to a lesser extent) Italian, Portuguese and Persian (Farsi).

I also can throw a mean frisbee, do some tooting on the trumpet, am wilderness first aid certified, and am always willing to speak my mind.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Smiles, gratitude, good conversation and a gift from home.
