ABOUT ME

UPDATE: I graduated! You: "so, uh what are you going to do now?" Me: "shut up!"
What you need to know about me: I'm a student at Portland State University studying political science. No, I'm not running for office (you're welcome, as I would be horrible as a politician!)

My ultimate goal is to earn a graduate degree in either Poli-Sci or History in Russian studies. At the moment, I define myself primarily as a student; I much prefer school over the "adult" world where you have to work for money instead of just reading books and write papers. What I have recently realize however, is that you can learn lots from outside the university so I'm seeking to balance these two aspects.

Aside from that, I'm a friendly person who enjoy meeting fun, cool people. Also my definition of "fun" and "cool" may be different than yours.

UPDATE: I Love polyglots or those with an interest in languages and cultures. I speak English, Vietnamese, and Russian (intermediate) so spit any of these languages at me.

PHILOSOPHY

No personal philosophy, studying philosophy in school right now, so I'm still figuring life out. I'm open to all kind of lifestyles as long as it doesn't harm other people (without their consent). I thought PDX is getting a little vanilla sometimes in the way we think, speak, act. A lil' diversity never hurt.

I have show several people visiting Portland around town. I'm continue to be indebted to the people who have hosted me when I'm in their city and looking forward to repay that debt to travelers in my city when I have my own place.

Interests

I'm a geek, but not the useful,computer-literate, nor the good-with-numbers kind. I'm more of a bookworm-geek, so yeah, won't be able to help you with your daily problems. I have always in to collecting stuffs since I was a kid: stamps, coin, rocks, now books. I also like to do a lot of spontaneous things, I would be the person who text you at 4am to go get foods, and no I don't care if you're sleeping because I'm hungry!

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally only read non fiction, usually books in my study, political science and philosophy but I have a wide range of interest. I like to collect autographed books of my favorite authors. I like to attend author lectures and have my books sign and meet them.
My prized possessions: my most prized books are: 6-first edition, autographed Pulitzer Prize-winning books; a couple of National Book Award winners, two signed 1st edition Richard Dawkins; Condoleeza Rice, Nebula Award winners, Hugo Award winners; Michio Kaku; Chuck Pahlaniuk (love!), several signed copies of books by some of the most famous political scientists and academics in my field.

Didn't read them all obviously but I'm SUCH hoarder of books it's ridic!
