About Me

I consider myself to be an outgoing travel addict with a good sense of humor. I travel for new experiences, meeting new people, and always enjoy the unexpected. Some believe that friends come and go, whereas I like to maintain contact with each and every person I meet on the road. Whether it's meeting again in the same place, a different country, or coming to my side of the world, one can usually count on seeing me again. It amazes me how many great people are out there, and how long it's taken for us to come into each others lives! I don't know who or where they are, but I have some best friends out there waiting for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet new people, and experience things that I never thought I would. Couchsurfing is the best in regards to experiencing the local lifestyle. I've even learned about and experienced new things in my own hometown as a result of CS meet ups!

Interests

I'm a big time sports fan, but mostly American sports. If anyone is up to show me the rules of the big time sports in other countries, I'm down. Food and outdoor activities are also big (they don't always mix). I'm also into the creative arts as I'm creating a travel website with an emphasis on short videos and podcasts.

Music, Movies, and Books

All types of music but primarily hip hop / R&B / EDM!
Movies: Forrest Gump, Son of God, Superbad, Step Brothers, any Happy Gilmore films, Bad Boys (1 and 2!), The Matrix, Godfather Trilogy, Scarface, Shrek, Frozen, Hangover, Slumdog Millionaire and a bunch of others.

Books: Unbroken, The Alchemist, The four hour work week, Art of Non-Conformity, The Giver, The Storied Life of A.J. Fickry, anything by Stephen King, Rich Dad Poor Dad, and of course Harry Potter!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are too many name, but the most recent was the decision to attend the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium while having no festival experience whatsoever, It may not be an amazing thing I've done, but it was probably the best experience of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

The most amazing thing about Couchsurfing is the good will of the people you meet. People wonder why anyone would want to host someone in their home at no charge, and initially I felt the same way. When you finally immerse yourself in the community you understand that this isn't about saving money as much as it is teaching, learning, and sharing with people from all over the globe! I have only couch surfed a handful of times but I can tell you that I've learned and experienced more than I have during all my years of staying in hotels and other traditional travel accommodations. Human interaction is slowly fading with the rise of technology and the convenient gadgets that it puts in our hands. Couch surfing is a breath of fresh air, and a reminder that social media is a supplement to social interaction, not a replacement.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not the best cook but I love it and always looking to learn, so let's hang out with our chef hats on! Outside of that I'm open minded and up for just about anything. We have to go outside our comfort zone if we want to grow.
