About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living and working in another new town on the East Coast
ABOUT ME
Two like-minded individuals who met and (very) quickly realized the perfection of that meeting, we married in September 2009 and decided to fulfill Anna's desire to spend more than a month or two in her Mother's home country. Her dual-citizenship and my easily acquired working-holiday permit made it an easy decision... no house, no kids, no serious jobs; how long will those all be true of our lives? And though we're looking forward to setting up our own home and having a space we can open up and share with other travelers, for now we're wanderers looking for new friends and experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just joined couchsurfers when we arrived in NZ, still getting used to the site and how to connect with people. Looking forward to having our own couch to post on here eventually.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It wasn't through the website, but we were lucky enough to be offered a room in a beautiful Te Awanga beach house for two months while we worked in the area. Not to mention the numerous couches Joe crashed on throughout the US, mostly in Austin.
Interests
We're both avid readers of everything from cheap fantasy and dime-store westerns to philosophy, theology, poetry (dragging a copy of Rimbaud with us all over NZ), history, really anything we can get our hands on. Joe is a casual musician who plays off and on in bands at home, while Anna is currently learning some violin. Hiking, photography, wine and beer (and the food that accompanies it)... the good things in life...
