My place is really close to the action. It's walkable and bikeable. If you want to enjoy Austin, this is the place to stay. I'm glad my place is where it is because it's great for surfers and I like helping ya'll out.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted a few surfers a while back. It was really cool to meet people I would have never met normally. I learned that I can't understand German, but Germans can't understand piglatin.
