About Me

I'm a postgraduate student at the University of St. Andrews. I'm interested in philosophy, theology, history, art, literature, and music. I love hiking, exploring, and discovering new places--I especially enjoy museums, food, the outdoors, and meeting new people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel very light, and when I'm by myself I require very little accommodation as I'm happy to sleep just about anywhere! I enjoy meeting new people, especially locals, and couchsurfing offers a wonderful opportunity to find lodgings, but also to meet people and discover the inside take on a city!

Interests

I enjoy traveling, hiking, cycling, reading, learning, music, art, and especially my family and friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, while I was hiking in the wilderness, I was startled by three wild boar piglets as they broke through the ferns nearby. I froze in my tracks, knowing that their mother must not be far behind. Along she came, and she spotted me! She was immediately and angrily territorial, and with a blood-curdling shriek, she gave chase! Adrenaline surged through my veins, and my heavy pack felt light as a feather as I accelerated to maximum speed. I found a tree and clambered into the safety of its branches just as the boar reached my heels. Relief washed over me. The boar and her brood rooted around just beneath my tree, digging up something to eat in the undergrowth. I was trapped. I passed the time by making coffee with my camp-stove, right there in the tree. After a few hours, the boars departed and I proceeded on my way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bit about philosophy and theology and I love talking about ideas (though I'm not much for arguing). I am also able to fix bicycles and I can do light carpentry!

I'm happy to help out with cleaning up, cooking, etc! I love to cook and always enjoy sharing a meal with others.
