À propos de moi
ABOUT ME
I am a 2015 graduate of the University of Georgia and teach HS Algebra in the MS Delta. I absolutely love my job and the opportunity to not only spend time with incredible students but also teach them about a subject I love deeply. I draw energy from being in a classroom with them, and I walk into work every morning excited about the day to come.
I began playing rugby my junior year of college and still play competitively to this day. I love the rugged determination and brute physicality required by the game, as well as the trademark camaraderie among rugby players. The game has genuinely changed my life for the better, and I'm eager to learn and play even more.
I have become an avid reader over the past 12 months and have finished over 30 books since August. My favorite genre is historical non-fiction with a focus on Presidential Biographies (I've read 9, including 3 on my favorite President--Teddy Roosevelt), but I've enjoyed branching out over the past year. Presently, I'm reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I heard it is the best way to understand women, so I figured it was worth a shot haha.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't surfed in a long time, but I enjoy interacting with locals in new places. I've never hosted, but I'd like to one day in the future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Amsterdam and Brussels. Both great experiences.
Centres d'intérêt
I'm also a voracious consumer of politics. I love policy, campaign strategy, political theory, etc. If it deals with politics, I'm interested. In fact, one of my favorite things about CS is the opportunity to discuss international political issues with people of such diverse backgrounds. My favorite CS memory was in Brussels when my hosts (2 Turkish guys, a Polish guy, and a Spanish gal) discussed global affairs for 2 hours over a delicious home cooked Turkish meal.
