ABOUT ME

I am a Latvian who moved to England in search of better life and education, partially because my English is better than my Latvian. My passion is the study of History, which I have started in England. What can I say about myself?

A Recipient of many tall jokes. But always on a look out for an original one.
A traveler without a home, a wander-lustful vagabond in training.
A hopeful believer in true happiness and wonder.
I like to do a lot of things;
I like to share and talk, especially over a nice drink and a cigarette.
I like long walks and exploring unknown places, I do not mind the rain either.
I like going to museums, galleries, an old great pub, forests and parks to name a few.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what you can to discover yourself, and do what you must to reach happiness, wherever it may lie.

I'm a huge fan of history. I can discuss it for hours, in any conditions. Traveling and new places. The arts; film, painting, music... Good beer, food, and conversation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fell in love in Switzerland. When we were driving on the highway into the valley towards Lauterbrunnen, I looked outside the window on the left and saw one the most beautiful sight! I was awestruck! The city of Interlaken with the two lakes on opposite sides, enveloped by the mountains, with forests like a blanket, with great patches of snow sprinkled for good seasoning. On top of it all, a lovely sunshine pouring all over. Lighting up the city, the lakes and the mountains. Driving past that view, into the valley where the Alps parted for us, was as if I had reached the pearly gates. The city of Lauterbrunnen and surrounding mountainside was just as wonderful and mesmerizing. So much laid down in front of your eyes to behold. After seeing this, I realized that I would never get tired of mountains.
