About Me

When I was 19 years old, I decided to live my life to the fullest, so I sat on my bicycle and went from my hometown, Zagreb, Croatia all the way to Egypt. I started taking photos and writing articles and turned my passion into my profession. Ever since then I traveled more than a hundred countries. My passions are remote areas, outdoors, and authentic traditional cultures. Some of my top journeys were expeditions: I walked from the coast of Antartica to the South Pole, solo, unsupported and unassisted. I found an uncontacted tribe in West Papua. I discovered a Mayan cave in Guatemala. I traveled twice with motorbike all over Africa. I climbed high mountains, crossed deserts, ventured in deepest jungles of the Amazon and Papua New Guinea, etc... It's a long list. :) I've worked for National Geographic, and I've published seven books that are all bestsellers in Croatia. But most of all, I love to be on the road, and now I'm traveling with my wife Angie, and that's the best thing ever!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my extensive travels, I mostly received hospitality, so I have that urge to give it back, to offer hospitality to somebody else, and let the good vibe spread...
Though, most of my time I travel, and when home I'm extremely busy. But I'm trying to give my best...
