About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Staying in Portugal to teach English, learn Portuguese and enjoy myself!

ABOUT ME

I'm from Australia, from Perth/Melbourne. I'm in Europe to enjoy the cultural offerings, lifestyle and to teach English. I´ve been in Lisbon, it´s an awesome place!

I like music, art, philosophy, humour, all the cool stuff. I like going out to explore cities and surrounds, and meeting people.

I'm pretty open minded and respectful. I try to be a glass half full person, and I'm all about pushing the idea of using our collective imaginations for the good.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others as you would like to be treated is a pretty good basic one. I've got a bunch of others written down... Born to lose, live to win, by Lemmy from Motorhead is a pretty good one as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed a bit in Europe when I was in my early 20's, and then had couchsurfers come to stay with me in Melbourne. I think it's a fantastic idea. I really love getting to see the way different people live around the world. From when I've done it in the past, it's a fascinating window into a city and people's lives, and I've met some great people and had fun times through it.

Interests

Art, music, history, reading, writing, partying, Australian football, bike riding, going out and exploring.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Rock, 60s/70s and new, blues, jazz, alternative, techno/house/electronic, some folk stuff, reggae, soul, Afrobeat, etc.

Books: Henry Miller, Hunter S. Thompson, Slaughterhouse 5, The Dice Man, Catch 22.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw Billy Ray Cyrus live in concert at the height of Achy Breaky Heart fever

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some weird English expressions, maybe a bit of Portuguese, and a few of the crazy Australian prime ministers we've had. Also how to land a plane, but I'll probably need a few drinks first to act it out.

Hopefully some good times and intelligent or not intelligent conversations :)
