Overview
About Me
I’m a professional single woman in my 30s with a passion for holistic health, social justice, the arts, meditation, and celebrating life. I graduated with a history degree in 2000 and worked for museums for a couple of years, before branching off into publishing and then general communications. I just left my job as a communications and development specialist at a Buddhist retreat center to embark on a year-long sabbatical, which will include meditation/artist retreats, blogging, and some volunteering. Also, I want to learn the ukelele.
I live as sustainably as possible, rarely buy new, drive a hybrid, eat communally, make some of my own medicine, and love the barter system in my Buddhist community. I’ve been doing yoga for 15 years and meditating daily for 9 years. I love to hike, sing at open mics, travel, and write. I make block prints and jewelry, and published a small history book several years ago.
I’ve traveled to Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, England, Greece, Scotland, France, Holland, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Czech Republic, Italy, and Germany.
I’m enrolled in a two-year Buddhist studies course and will need access to WiFi (I’ll use my own laptop).
