Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Listen to Nature and create beauty.
ABOUT ME
I'm in my late 20's. Currently building my portfolio with art. I love Nature and my animal family (one dog, two cats.)
PHILOSOPHY
To better my self and my community through personal action and human interaction.
Communicating usually solves problems. > Staying with the other party in conflict resolves it.
I try to be flexible in life but I still like to dream and "plan". I try to focus on the positive and practice gratitude and reflection daily, along with meditation and yoga.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host when I can. I try to go to meetups when I have the extra bandwidth, and I tell everyone I meet about it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted a group of young women that were coming up for a political summit. They got in a bit late, and I had the place clean and was working on dinner when they got in. It was a bit cramped with four people in my tiny living room but it worked out and they were happy to have a place to sleep during the hectic weekend. I showed them the (kind of crappy) public transit system in Austin, and suggested places to eat at which took up almost all the time they had outside of the summit. I loved getting to know these students who then grew to be wonderful activists and advocates for policy change.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like those artsy-fartsy movies like Sunshine Cleaning, The Science of Sleep, and Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I am also a nerd for beautifully made documentaries and fiction.
I love all music as long as I can dance to it. Electronic and folk usually top my list.
I am a sucker for creative non-fiction novels and political poetry (esp those written by women and WOC.) Currently obsessed with Cheryl Strayed and Andrea Gibson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled solo to Cairns, Queensland in Far North Queensland, Australia and dove the Great Barrier Reef. I also hiked to a gorgeous waterfall during the start of the rainy season and got sucked on by 30 leaches!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am from Austin. I would love to teach you all about my experience growing up here, and show you great places that make it hard to leave if you are visiting. I can teach you a bit about native plants and animals, as well as the ecosystem that makes up this place. I can also show you the changing social dynamics and development that we are experiencing as Austin grows into a city from a town.
I would love to learn about your home, travels, craft, exercises, languages, and passions.
What I Can Share with Hosts
