Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making a difference in the world while enjoying and exploring the outdoors.
ABOUT ME
I am very compassionate and empathetic and throw myself fully into whatever endeavor I'm taking on at the time. Over the years, I have volunteered for a number of animal advocacy, sustainability, and human rights issues. I treasure my friends and parents and appreciate loyalty and honesty. While I am a pretty outgoing person, I definitely value my alone time and find solace in hiking, running, and chilling with our kitties. I love horror movies and find myself spellbound by The Walking Dead television series.
PHILOSOPHY
I strive to live my life in a way that I can bring a little more compassion and justice to the world around me. I am a firm believer in giving back to the community but also think that balance (travel and spending time with loved ones) is crucial.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been hosted a couple of times so far and had great experiences. While we currently can't host due to travel constraints, my husband and I have collectively hosted dozens of friends and travelers since the mid-1990's.
Interests
Passion for animal, environmental/sustainability, and social justice issues is what drives me as well as chatting and spending time with my friends, parents, and cats, although the latter don't do much chatting. :) I also enjoy exploring new cities and towns and have a particular interest in historic areas and restored downtowns, parks, wildlife, and veg-friendly restaurants.
