Once upon a time I stood on top of Mauna Loa, the world's largest mountain, and saw more of the ocean then I ever thought possible at one time.

I know a lot about issues surrounding Appalachian culture, including mountaintop removal, and I'm slowly building up a library about social dynamics and power structures. I am currently trying to find out all I can know about small scale farming, sustainable living, the human body, rivers, communities, how things grow and how people use language.
