About Me

I'm a automotive enthusiast of all varieties. If I'm somewhere with beautiful nature then trekking into via offroad vehicle to go camping and hiking is one of my favorite things to do. If I'm somewhere with water, then water activities of the engine-powered and human-powered are the name of the game for me.

I also greatly enjoy sports, other outdoor activities and gaining perspective on my world through meeting new people and seeing new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love to travel and I get a much more authentic experience when I'm staying with locals and doing local things rather than the tourist trap nonsense!

Interests

I'm a man with simple interests but that doesn't make me simple. I tend to know something about everything as I always like to be as knowledgeable about the world around me in every respect.

Music, Movies, and Books

EDM all the way but I enjoy all varieties of music. Movies can be pretty much anything with a good script and acting but I especially love sci-fi. Books are a rare enjoyment for me but I do enjoy reading articles and magazines. Automotive, cultural, financial, are the topics that I generally read the most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The wife and I took a helicopter ride while in Hawaii, on Oahu. It involved a landing while on the spine of a ridgeline overlooking the Kaaawa valley, where they shot some Jurassic Park scenes. We got out of the helicopter, ate some lunch, explored a little bit, and then piled back into the helicopter. The ride up until this point had been very tame.

The helicopter pilot lifted the copter off the ground about a foot and hovered for a moment, when he said, "You guys ready to go flying?" We all responded with a yes. He instantly points the helicopter right over the cliff and while pointing the chopper straight down, we are moving forward through the air but descending rapidly with the lush jungle of the cliff face just feet away. It was all very controlled but definitely incredibly fun to be looking straight down but also flying forward and downwards all the same time with an incredible sense of speed from the proximity to the cliff face.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a happy-go-lucky spirit with a calm, cool and collected attitude with any host. I'm always willing to try anything and also was taught from an early age to appreciate people and their time. You never want to impose on someone or out-stay your welcome.
