About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet people from all over the world and know about the many places that i don't have an idea of right now.

ABOUT ME

I love meeting people and finding out about their experiences and also traveling vicariously through them.

I am fascinated by cultures and languages and am always trying to comprehend the complexity of our world..not only the physical aspects( I love the concrete jungles of modern cities and exploring the great outdoors in the wilderness) but also the social, political and cultural aspects..Its nice to find out about a country that you only read about or see in the media..there is something awesome about meeting someone from a different country in person as opposed to reading about the country.

I'm actually very laid back as a person as well and always up for an adventure or two. Roller coasters are where I'd like to live if i could.Love the outdoors, food, languages, cultures and new experiences. Pretty outgoing and I try to be fun to be with!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that life is the greatest teacher and only it can teach you what you can't learn in a class..I don't disregard institutionalized education but simply advocate learning outside of the classroom. They complement each other nicely.

I advocate global citizenship. If only we all recognized that we are all citizens of one world.

Do unto to others what you want others to do to you.

Lifes a mess but a beautiful one.

You only live once!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I planned to couchsurf to the eastcoast, the summer of 2009 for my first ever cs experiences but I only got to couchsurf in Halifax with Danielle and she was awesome! Also got to meet Patrice in Quebec City through CS and had some awesome times. I liked couchsurfing with them because I would not only enjoy the destinations as a tourist but I'd also get the locals' experiences as well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I kayaked in the waters of krabi, Thailand where the waves are so high, you can't see anything but green one second and then you're on top of the sea the next while riding the waves! We kayaked into a nice lagoon with white sandy beaches and then went back into the water with pieces of bread..upon dropping a few crumbs into the sea, we were instantaneously surrounded by rainbow fishes..the waters turned from emerald to psychedelic flashes of red, blue and other-colours-of-the-rainbow..

Also had a bonfire on a beach in Quebec City with some peeps we met through CS. It was an awesome time with fire breathing, alcohol, a huge bonfire, fireworks and the beach, in the pitch black of the night, with newly acquainted friends! I learnt more about the Quebecois culture and their nationalist views as well as understood them better.
