About Me

CURRENT MISSION

teach some kids how to teach themselves

ABOUT ME

I'm an old soul, but interested in anything marketed to children. I frequently get off-topic but rarely get offended. I love relaxing with some Teavana but think that nothing in the world is more contagious than enthusiasm.

I also legalized the "y" in the middle of my name.

PHILOSOPHY

Giggle and give in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met up with some phenomenal surfers on the top of a parking lot in Brussels. Their kindness and coolness motivated me to meet some more explorers.

Interests

The Ben and Jerry's ice cream flavor based on Stephen Colbert, Stephen Colbert in general, enjoying the company of great friends and porch conversation, lakes and oceans and other large bodies of water, reading several books at one time and attempting to keep them straight, brewing beer, Chuck Palaniuk novels, seeing new things, good storytelling, communicating with someone who speaks a different language, cooking and pretending to know how to paint.

Music, Movies, and Books

I studied English, so throw anything from Camus to Bukowski at me and I'm good for a day and a half. I could happily watch "Waking Life", "Breakfast at Tiffany's" or "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" at any given moment. I always prefer live music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At age 12, I was launched fifteen feet into the air by a device named "The-Dayle-a-pault". Despite being created by the ingenuity on my 12 year old cousins and me, the thing was mechanically flawless. I think it's what inspired me to start skydiving.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have some pretty interesting stories about working at a nut house
