About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I'm a native to beautiful Savannah, I like opening my home to guests. There is so much I love about this city and want to share with travelers. I truly enjoy getting to know strangers - learning from one another and simply being together as humans. My partner is a very experienced surfer, and it's been wonderful having people come and go through our house on their way through town. He has inspired me to also start hosting! I'm looking forward to a time when I'm able to do more exploring, and being a surfer myself. Right now, I intend to be hospitable and kind and give what I can to travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all kinds of music. Sometimes funky, sometimes more poetic, sometimes instrumental. A few favorites are:
Beirut
Local Natives
Lykke Li
I enjoy movies with quirky, honest characters, unique storylines, and artistic filmography. Anything I can relate to, learn from, or be inspired by. And of course any film that makes me laugh! A few directors I love are:
Wes Anderson
Quentin Tarantino
Darren Aronofsky
I read to learn more often than for entertainment, because novels most often relax me so quickly that I fall asleep after a few pages.
Fiction: Chuck Palahniuk
Nonfiction: philosophy, religion, cultural practices, healing arts, art history
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm currently making my living as an artist, and to me, that is pretty amazing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love sharing (the very basic) Acro yoga tricks that I know with anyone. For me, Acro yoga is a very playful and heart-opening, and humbling practice. We can talk about art, life, philosophy, or anything else. If you're interested, there is plenty I can teach you in the way of photography, portrait drawing, watercolor painting and ceramic sculpture. I'm likely to ask to take your photo or even sketch you! I have a witty and goofy sense of humor, and am very laid back and easily content. I like cooking, and even though I'm no chef I'm happy to share food or learn from you!
